How to Join Indian Army After 10th

You can join the army just after passing class X exams. Yes, you can become a Soldier General Duty. If you have passed technical training like ITI, you can be posted as a Soldier Tradesman. If you have a good physique like height 163 cm to 170cm and chest 77cm and an average weight around 50kg, you can easily pass the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). These tests check the stamina, strength, and fitness of the applicants.
Age - 17½ - 21 Years
Qualifications - 10th pass with 45% & each subject must contain 33%

How to Join Indian Army After 12th

National Defence Academy, trains cadets of the three services, the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force before they undergo pre-commission training in their respective services. NDA entrance exams are conducted by Union Public Service Commission, twice a year, normally in the month of April and September. After qualifying the written test, the candidates have to undergo intelligence and personality test followed by physical and medical examinations conducted by the Services Selection Board. On passing out from the National Defence Academy, Army Cadets go to the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun after which they are granted Permanent Commission in the rank of Lieutenant.
Recently Indian Army has launched TES, Technical Entry Scheme. Minimum aggregate of 70% is mandatory in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics to qualify for this examination. It offers 4 +1 years of technical course, after which the cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lt.

How to Join Indian Army After Graduation

  • You can take the CDS Entrance Exam conducted by UPSC after passing any Graduate Degree. You need to clear the SSB interview, be medically fit and join the Indian Military Academy
  • At the I.M.A, Army Cadets are given strenuous military training for a period of one year. On successful completion of training, the Gentlemen Cadets are granted Permanent Commission in the rank of Lieutenant. B tech final year students need to qualify for the Technical Graduate Course in IMA. After passing the one year course, they will be granted Short Service Commission on probation in the rank of Lieutenant.
